of China, recently in Germany, quoted as saying he hopes and believes that's a quote,

Germany will support China's quote, peaceful reunification with Taiwan.

The German officials responded right away vigorously and push back.

under Xi Jinping.

For a long time, they've tried to hold up this model of German reunification as one that

ought to be followed in East Asia with the Republic of China and the People's Republic

of China.
