He writes global opinions for the Washington Post, and his column about Chingang is fascinating

because of all the missing pieces.

Joshua, who is Chingang, and what do we know of him so far before he disappeared from

public view on June 25th of this year?

Well, Chingang is one of the fastest rising diplomats in the history of the Chinese Communist

Party system.

He is meteoric ascent first to from being a protocol officer in the foreign ministry and

a press officer to becoming one of their chief wolf warrior diplomats and then ambassador

to Washington and then foreign minister and then member of the Central Committee and

state councilor was really noteworthy, but it seems to have been brought with it a whole

host of problemist for Chingang who apparently has a lot of enemies inside of this foreign

ministry and CCP system because it's not really, then he's alleged now, he's been missing

for 26 days, the Chinese government won't say anything about it, they won't even explain

it, they're not even bothering to come up with an excuse.

The Chinese internet, all the internet are abuzz with the rumors that he was having

an elicit affair with a reporter from Phoenix TV, which is like a Beijing friendly media organization

and that they had a love child together and in any normal country, in any normal situation

of the foreign minister disappeared for about a month, there would be some explanation

offered, there would be some cover story at least, and the fact that there isn't one

I think just shows you just how reclusive and secretive Xi Jinping's regime has become

and you know, we can go into the speculation, but I think the most important takeaway is
