At Gordon G. Chang, my colleague and co-host and friend, and we go to Theresa Fallon, director of the Center for Russia, Europe, Asia Studies.

She is in Brussels, which is the twin capital of Europe, NATO and the European Union.

Right now we have a headline, however, suggesting Europe

is looking beyond the Ukraine war, beyond the Gaza war, to China.

Europe should not shy away from working with China, Wang says. That's Wang Yi, the master wolf warrior.

So we welcome Theresa to comment on this and also the question of Europe in general.

Theresa, the economies are not quite flatlining.

They could be, especially German and UK economies.

The energy shortfall begins for the third winter. The war in Ukraine is taking

strange twists, even suggesting there'll be negotiations. The war in Gaza's fog of war.

All of this adds up to not a growth spurt for Europe,

but a hesitation.

Does that mean the romance with China is back on or necessary.
