We're going to go right into the word Joshua chapter 7.

We're going to look at verse 6 through 13.

But I got to say this before I get started.

You know, I used to like, why that those older, when I was younger, like the old folk, they used to read the Bible.

I'm like, why they read it every day? They ain't get it yet. I just see like, you know, my grandma, she used to be in the Word, you know, some of the people that she hung out with, you know, Bob's grandfather, he used to read the Word all the time. all the time, you know, I go to Bob House. Whenever I go over, I catch Grandpa, he was just

king, Grandpa King, he was to read the word all the time. You know, I go to Bob House. Whenever I go over, I catch Grandpa, he was just king. Grandpa King. He was just in the Bible. And I just be like, yo, you, why are you just always reading that? Like, I love the Lord, but like, you ain't get, like, it's so many, so many books. Like, you don't got it yet? And then I start reading the Bible myself. Hallelujah. Praise God. Amen. And I read it this week. And I'm going to tell you all, I read the Bible this week, and I was so mad at my 20-year-old self. I was so mad at my 30-year-old self. I was just like, why were you in control of our life? Why was you running our life? Why didn't you let God run it? Like you were reading the Bible. Like you saw exactly what the word said. You was clear on the word. Why did you take the reins? Why didn't you surrender? Why didn't you submit? Look, I just want to say this. I told y'all, when I get up here and preach, I ain't talking to y'all. Some of y'all might feel like I'm talking to y'all. People can pass. You was on my toe. I wasn't on your toe. I'm just tell you what God. I'm telling you the whippings I got. Amen. I'm just sharing the weapons and the correction. Amen. I'm just sharing everything God did for me. And listen to me very closely. This week I read the word and I was so embarrassed. I was so hurt. I was so like Eric, what were you thinking? Why didn't you let God take control? Praise God. Anybody else you wish you would have let God take control more in your life? Listen to me. And this is why I'm saying it. Like I I don't even want you trying to think I'm on nothing religious.

I was in control of my life, and I'm mad at me for some of the choices I made. I'm mad at me for some of the stuff I got myself into. Anybody else in the room, you mad at yourself? There's some stuff you did, amen, they don't got anything to do with nobody else. Amen, praise God. Hallelujah. I was talking to my mom this morning.

She was on her way to San Diego.

She missed her flight. And, you know, and so we were talking and, you know, and again, you don't like, it's not wise to correct your parents. Okay. That's not a wise thing to do, right? But my mom was like, yeah, we messed up. I was like, mom, I don't know we. I don't know we. You, man, you lost your license, you, amen. And I was laughing at my mom because I was like, mom, it's so hard for us to take ownership. It's so hard. And I was like, okay, did dare have this license? She was like, yeah. So I was like, how was it we? I said we I said it wasn't we it was you but it's hard for us like we want to point to blame we want to bring somebody else into it

and I want us to get to a place when we're in devotion with God and we're in prayer with God

because it's just us I don't want us to drag Adam in, Eve. Come on, I'm talking to somebody. Amen. I don't, I don't want you to, uh, uh, Adam to drag Eve in. Amen. I don't, I don't want Eve you to drag the serpent in. Amen. I just want you to get to a point. And especially my young, my young, my young, you and your teens, you're in your 20s, please catch this. Amen, I'm 50 something now. Please catch this. Amen, listen to me very closely. Don't bring nobody in, but you and then confess and tell God you sorry. Amen. And I want you to take it to another level before the year ends out. And I want you to get in the mirror and I want you to apologize to you. I want you to tell you, you sorry. Amen. And this week, I was in the word and I just had to say, God, I'm sorry. I should have done what? Here's the word for the month. We're going to be focused on this for the month.
