Well, here it is Friday once again. Time for us to engage together in prayer for brothers

and sisters in Christ around the world who have submitted their concerns and their needs

and their praises for us to consider and lift up to our

Heavenly Father. We have a whole lot of requests today. I haven't even counted, but

I'm sure we're pushing 40 requests today and I want to be able to give each of

them the time they deserve and the heart

and the faith that they deserve.

So I want to ask you if you are praying along with me today, feel free to pause your recording

at any time, go and do the other things you need to do and come back to it at a later time.

We don't have to do all this at once, but we do need to be praying for our brothers and sisters.

remind us what prayer is. Sometimes it can feel like prayer is akin to begging or pleading

with someone to do things, but that is not the picture of prayer that the Bible gives to us. The Bible describes prayer

more like a child coming to their good father or their good mother asking them to

do a good thing in their lives. Now we all know that children

don't always ask for the wisest things. Children don't always ask for the best

things, but it is honoring to their parent that

they're asking because they're believing the parent has a generous

disposition toward them, and they're believing the parent has their best interests in mind.
