Scripture is very clear that the prayers of those who have been made righteous in

Jesus Christ avail much. It's a we should be diligent about this and I want to encourage you make these

pray together episodes part of your weekly routine. Now before we get started I

wanted to highlight a truth from Romans chapter 8 that I lean on in these prayer episodes

week after week and encourage you to ponder what we're taught here by the

Apostle Paul and how this might affect your prayer life. He says in

Romans 8 verse number 26 the spirit helps us in our weakness for we do not know

what to pray as we ought. But the spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words,

and he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the spirit because the spirit intercedes for the

saints according to the will of God.

So my friends what I take from this is that we all have those moments when we really

have this ache we have this longing or angst in our heart regarding something we are

wanting to pray about.

And we just don't always even know how to express ourselves.

We're not even sure what the Lord would want us to pray for, we're not sure,

the details, we're not sure exactly what we should be asking and this promise here in

Romans chapter 8 has become such a comfort to me in those moments when I don't know how to pray and that quite honestly is a lot of times
