Good morning. God morning to you. You could spend the day, the Sunday, the Sabbath at church listening to God music reading scriptures in prayer or with family preparing a beautiful dinner.

But that's still not the real Sabbath. Close your eyes and smile again.

Sway again. Sway until you feel God again. You're always in the presence of God.

And when you remember that, not just intellectually, but experientially when you feel that remembrance, that's the Sabbath. That's true rest.

Rumi said the only real rest comes when you're alone with God.

Krishna Das speaking to God said, holding me in your arms fast and brace, only love shining in endless space.

All I need is to be with you. All my prayers have been heard. All I want is to rest inside your heart as wide as the world.

Beyond the traffic of your thinking, even if that traffic seems steady or something that's steadier, that's noticing the traffic.

That notices when the traffic slows, notices when it stops sometimes for a few seconds. But it doesn't matter to this notice or what the traffic is doing. The traffic can't touch this.

The silence is untouchable. No thought can penetrate it. No person can penetrate your peace. This peace, there is no other peace. The one you're feeling right now is the only one you ever have to feel.

Your work is just a practice of feeling it. Even when you're not listening to me, that's when the real work begins. It's easy to fill peace right now. That's my job is to make sure you fill peace just five minutes every day.

But the real work starts after the outro. You're back in the world that body is in the world, but you are at home in this temple on retreat practicing the Sabbath.

I'm a said no matter how turbulent the situation, Lord she was head and inner realm remains peaceful.

Though the head is cool, the heart is always warm with compassion for the world.

What we need is a cool head and a warm heart. But what we see in the world today is a very opposite. Most people are hot headed and cold-hearted. Everyone's head is heated up by worldly thoughts.

And the heart has become frosty with selfishness. If our head is cool, we can face the most adverse circumstances peacefully and turn it to our advantage.

For the rest of today and into tomorrow and into forever, cool head, warm heart, no matter what, cool head, warm heart.

That cool head, fill the peace, the quiet, but still, still as a frozen river in this coolness.

How does a frozen river sound? Listen.

Warm heart, fill the warmth of your heart. That's the presence of God in you. You can tell it, thank you.
