And yes, we are going to talk about baseball. The dawn of a new May. Yeah, Dustin May had a very good start for the Red Sox yesterday. six inning zeroed runs five hits one walk and eight strikeouts with 12 whiffs on 92 pitches

And I will mention off the bat, yes, Dustin May should be better against a team like the Astros.

Why? Because he's a sinker slider guy, and that's a right-handed lineup.

Now they do have some lefties, but mostly the damage is done with the right handers, so we should feast against them. Now, this, though, was very different. And we were

wondering if May moving away from the Dodgers going to the Red Sox, the change of scenery,

Andrew Bailey and company, if this actually would mean a different version of May in unlocking

things. And it's a very important

moment to realize that, yes, the Dodgers we do speak highly of when it comes to pitching

development. However, they are not the end-all-be-all, right? They still are not going to necessarily

dictate certain things to different players. And moving to a different organization can change them for the better still.

So what did Dustin may do? Well, a couple things. One, he threw all four of his pitches,

four seamers sinker, sweeper and cutter, not in that order, at least 20% of the time. All of them

also get this at a 67% strike rate or better. Ooh, that's kind of already very interesting, right?

What the Red Sox did is he actually raised his arm angle slightly.

If you remember, Dustin, a very big sidewinder would get all this horizontal movement in the sinker.
