after a long film session and a disturbing outing in portland the utah jazz came to oklahoma city and

they almost quieted the thunder roar instead they played brilliantly but fell short and we're talking

about it next on postcast david lock along with ron boon is the the Utah Jazz fall tonight in overtime to the Oklahoma City Thunder,

a fun one final score tonight, 129 to 125.

Jazz did have the lead in the fourth quarter, couldn't close it, but they also trailed by five

with the fourth quarter started, went down by 20 in the second quarter. The first quarter on the jazz played. They were down nine. We both felt the jazz had played really well. And oh, my gosh, did they blink at any point? This is going to get ugly because they're playing well. They're down nine. Then they were down 20. But then what changed? They really had a fabulous defensive second quarter.

And what did you see change out of this team?

Well, the fact that not only the defense,

but it was the fact that the Jazz was scoring in the paint there as well.

Remember I told you, oh, boy, the Jazz already got 20-something points in the paint here.

So the offense was starting to click in the in the in the paint.

And then the defense keeping the ball down the going down the middle of the floor.

And the, the,

Thunder did not shoot the three-point shot very well.

And they had, they ended up seven for 38.

So the way the Jazz wanted to play the Thunder worked because they did not let them, you know, get down the middle of the floor and didn't let the Thunder were not shooting the three very well.

You know, it did feel as though, it'll be interesting to look at the data.

NBA is not very good at getting this data anytime soon, so I don't know when we'll be able to get it.

But it did not feel as though we were allowing the same amount of open threes tonight that we have been for the last period of time.

Yeah. They get up 38. And then if you think back, how many of those were contested?

And it really makes a big difference. I mean, contesting three-point shots and the way the jazz was closing out,

but the big thing here is the fact that the fact that the Jazz did not let the Thunder

...
