Now, Matt, that was much more like it for the Reds today,

wasn't it?

Like for 70 minutes, they were superb, they looked confident.

You could say maybe it's because the fresh is off, but then you could say they've had a nice week off and they've been able to get back into their groove

It's a shame it won't mean anything in terms of the title race because they're already long way out of that but at this point but

third is in the bag back with a smile on our faces.

Yeah definitely it was a performance to enjoy I think there was a number of good

showings from Liverpool which I'm sure we'll go into in more detail in the next few minutes but yeah it was it just felt to me like that the pressure was off and they could just kind of play the normal game I think Yergen clock spoke about that in his press conference

about wanting to maybe not put on a show but at least kind of get themselves into a

bit of a groove I know Virgil Van Dyke in his program notes was talking

about how important it is to end the season well to go into the start of next season and I do think

that would be important. I think it's important as well that the narrative of the summer isn't that

Liverpool tailed off. The narrative is that Liverpool stayed strong, a few of of the players Mohammed Sala in particular were in a decent sort of show in a decent run of form and I think they definitely showed that today

there's still obviously a couple more games for them to continue to improve and I think there's still a couple of refinements to make but you know this was a game that meant a lot more to spurs in terms of the result

than it did to Liverpool but until you know they get the two goals in at the end there

wasn't really a great deal to write about for them so I think that was the

most surprising thing to me is that Tottenham were already poor,

but I guess you could probably say that they were made to be like that by the fact that
