return to Anfield but it was certainly not a classic night under the lights of the cop.

The Reds absolutely dominated the first half until a freak breakaway from palace

saw Wilfred Zaha played through one-on-one who made no mistake and slotted past Allison Becker.

Liverpool's prostration grew even stronger, perhaps none more so than new signing Darwin

Nunez who was making his Anfield debut made it one to forget rather than remember as he reacted to the teasing

of Wacky Madison and head-butted the Danish center half. In the short term

clock will be infuriated that Nunez was now suspended for the trip to Manchester United

and the home games against Bormuth and Newcastle United at a time when Diogo Jotra is out

and Roberto F Mino is seemingly misfiring. The bigger picture however will be more concerning. The red's missing out on precious time to continue

integrating the Uruguayan into a new-look attack that on evidence in front of a grumbling

Anfield crowd remains very much a work in progress. But anyway that's enough of my voice
