I just stepped off the meat-to-press set.

I interviewed Senator Joe Manchin, a West Virginia today, and Congresswoman Nancy Mace

of South Carolina, Democrat and Republican respectively.

You could say we were driving down the center lane of American politics this Sunday.

I'm sitting here now with Brendan Buck.

He's a former top adviser to the speaker's bainer and Ryan.

So he's pretty well placed to help us get inside the minds and massinations of this Congress,

as they struggle again with the fight over the death limit, Brendan.

He's good to talk with you on this.

It seems to me, and it was a fun exercise to do with Manchin and Mace today, just to get

him to put one thing on the table for debate on spending cuts.

Nobody wants to do it.

Not only that, it was amazing how knee jerk, which is a real change in the Republican

party, like Nancy Mace, immediately saying, by the way, we're not touching Medicare,

so Security Advocate.

Whoa, that was just, and of course Donald Trump put out a video where I mean, poor part

of it.

I mean, it just shows like the lack of seriousness that both sides isn't, but like even Joe

Manchin and Nancy Mace, both unwilling to articulate even an area of the government that

they think is waste-fraud and abuse, as you pointed out on the show, is laughable.

It's a rounding error in government and you came in really identifying.
