I'm on the phone with Ashfin, and today we are talking about Possessor from 2020, directed and written by Brandon Cronenberg, starring Andrea Rysbrough,

Christopher Abbott, and Jennifer Jason Lee. And in this movie, an assassin takes over other people's minds to do murder for hire, and things go a little south. Ash, David Cronenberg's son here, Brandon Kronenberg.

I know.

I'd never even heard of this guy, did you?

I had heard, I knew he existed.

And he did a movie in 2012 called Antiviral, but I've never seen that.

So I'm very unfamiliar with him.

Interesting. You get the sense from what you've heard about that movie in this movie

that he's just kind of following in his father's footsteps?

A little bit. I don't know too much about that movie, except I do know it's dark.

It's, I think, a near future commentary on obsession with celebrities.

Oh, interesting.

It sounds intriguing.

Yeah, yeah, right.

Have you seen a lot of David Kronenberg's films?

No, man.

I think those are holes that we both should explore more on the podcast.
