Look, let's be honest, it's not natural.

Enthusiasm wanes over time.

It's just how it is.

So let me give you a few tricks that I use to get a hit of E when I need it.

Number one, remember the first time.

Claude Monet used to tell his students that every time they painted a flower, they should

paint it as if they were seeing it for the first time.

To remember the awe, have you ever seen a little kid see a flower for the first time?

They're dumbstruck.

Every time before I do a keynote speech or conduct a training workshop, I take myself

through this process.

I remember back when I sat in an audience and I was feeling lost or confused or overwhelmed.

And when someone said something from the stage that lit me up, how powerful and important

that was to me at that moment in my life, I regenerate that excited feeling all over

again.
