Today marks the first full day of the reign of the 267th pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Leo the 14th.

I want to talk about what to hope for, what to fear in the Leo the 14th reign.

Yesterday was a whirlwind.

I streamed for over five hours.

I've never done that before. It was wild. The day,

you saw me if you watch the show, I was blinking because I'd just gotten up from a late morning nap.

And the day was over before I knew it. And I found myself incredibly depressed late last night, incredibly depressed.

Part of this just if you don't get outside a lot in the day, it's depressing.

That's just my temperament.

I think that's normal.

Steph and I typically do a circuit of we walk around our neighborhood laps and we walk

four and a half miles a day.

We only walked three quarters of a mile yesterday, one sixth of what we normally walk.

And that I didn't get those endorphins flowing because we were so busy, and I did my show

plus two others.

But I'll say this.

And I tweeted this.

After 12 years of an overtly anti-Catholic father, who was supposed to be a holy father, who told us Christ wasn't God

while he was man. He told that to La Republica, and that any of us who questioned his absurd

views eat shit, another direct quote Francis used many times. I grew incredibly depressed late last night.
