Just before midnight on October 12, 2023, a Hayaialea apartment became the center of a chilling allegation.

Prosecutors say 13-year-old Derek Rosa stabbed his mother 46 times as she slept while his newborn sister lay unharmed nearby.

What followed is even more disturbing. Rosa is accused of photographing his mother's body,

taking a blood-soaked selfie,

and sending the images to a friend,

asking what they thought.

Minutes later, he called police and allegedly confessed.

But first, silence wrapped the Columbus home

where Spencer Tepe, a 37-year-old dentist,

and his wife, Monique, should have been starting

an ordinary Tuesday.

Instead, worry spread.

Spencer missed work. Monique didn't answer her phone neighbors

heard crying from inside frank to calls went to 9-1-1 when police finally entered on

December 30th the house held answers no one was ready for. Spencer had been shot multiple times.

Monique lay nearby, killed by a gunshot to the chest.
