Our first story today involves the murder of two men, along with drug use, and a little bit of mischief and misled youth. But ultimately, in 2026, the case is about

corruption and coercion. And now a federal trial, 36 years later after the double homicide, has led to millions of

dollars for one of the wrongfully accused. And equally important, the city of New Haven, Connecticut,

can hopefully believe the corruption has been rooted out. Now, to understand what happened, we have to go

back to October 11th of 1990. That night,

gunfire erupted inside an apartment in New Haven. When police arrived, they found one man shot in

bed and another man shot in what appeared to be an attempt at confronting the gunman or gunmen.

Both were dead. These were just two men kind of romantically

linked with no backgrounds or connections within the city. One of these men was 43-year-old Ricardo
