So, I figure we can start with the Partially Examined Life and then move from there into

Nicodely Examined Music.

I know from reading up like you studied philosophy in college, why did you kind of go into that?

And at what point did you realize this is not what I want to do professionally?

I knew what I was doing it.

There was really nothing else that I found myself interested enough in the details.

I did a summer internship in biopsychology, was looking into other sciences, and I just

didn't care about the details enough, but I really loved to learn the high level big picture

stuff about the various sciences.

So that's what led me to philosophy, and I really was when I was in as an undergraduate

interested in doing something at the crossroads of science and philosophy.

So you had to go to grad school to do that.

I really went to grad school partially as a way of something to do while I was trying

to get my music career going.

But of course I found it really interesting.

And the more I was in graduate school, the more I got interested in different kinds of
