massively multiplayer online game, World of Warcraft, which is now what? Four years old,

10 million subscribers and is surely the most popular game ever, ever made, ever. So what is it exactly

that makes a wow player tick? What's good about it?

What's bad about it? Where are we going next? So do please enjoy this very special Why We Wow. My name is Throne and I play a rogue called Tye and a guild called Three Huckin Hippies on the Rootum server.

My name is Rich. I play Jarek the Druid and I'm a class leader for druids and the hippies.

So yep, four years old, 10 million subscribers strong, let's kick things off right at the start, okay?

How did our heroes find themselves in the world of Azaroth? What was their history before they found themselves in World of Warcraft?

I tried a few. I'd had a little dash at Diablo on mates' computers and really couldn't be bothered.

I played D&D back in the days when Arna had only just published the first book.

That was a small A5 brown cardboard-backed set of books.

So original D&D and then A- Quest and then Roon Quest 3.

Well the closest thing I've been to in a memo before,

Warcraft was playing Diablo 2.

What happened was that we were introduced this game by a friend of mine

through a front of the front.

And it was me and I was at the same level when knocking about.

I was a paladin, he was a priest.
