So our weekly sit down with Iowa State head coach Matt Campbell after, you know, Coach, it was a good win for your team, but it was a memorable game. I mean the, you know, everything that happened in the third quarter. I don't, I don't know how how a fan could be at Jack Trice Stadium and just

ever forget about everything that went down. Now that you've had

have had a couple of days to process everything how do you think your team you know reacted to the situation and and how have things been since since the end of that game?

Well you know first of all, let's call it out is, you know, I think it's really disappointing that two football teams that have, you know, have a lot on the line play in a game and you know in the third

quarter that breaks out and you know I think it was really unfortunate you know it

really leaves a sour taste in my mouth just of the incidents that occur within the third quarter

but I will say this from our kids perspective you know I thought I thought in general their reaction to you know the situation in the moment I

thought did a really good job of trying to keep their composure and trying to do the right thing

You know you see Josh Kniffel out there trying to get guys doing the right thing and you know you see guys trying to step up in leadership roles to do the right thing and you know I I think one of the telltale signs of the maturity of this team is we regain our

composure right after that happens.

We're able to go put points on the board.

The next drive, you know, freshman quarterback, 18 year old, steps in and drives us right down the field and

we go score a touchdown and a two-point conversion and so you know I thought and

then you know from their standpoint you know there it kind of continues you know, from their standpoint, you know, there, it kind of continues, you know, their

quarterback then gets thrown out of the football game and, you know, just because making bad choices,

I thought our kids really just kind of honed in on what we needed to do to finish the game off.

But you know, certainly, you know, was a distraction within the game and a great learning experience

and great teachable moments that we were able to use on Sunday and, you know

know talked about those things but certainly got ourselves ready to move

forward to. Was that Brock Purdy's best game as a cyclone? Boy you know I'd

have to say it's right up there, you know, and, you know, we're small sample size so far, but, you know, a kid that continues to just improve in my opinion, you know, I thought situationally was outstanding.
