We might as well just keep on conversational podcast beyond beyond beyond what's up everybody welcome to podcast beyond episode

0:29.1

162 I'm your host Greg Miller alongside the Ram Bunches Ryan Clements. Oh, that's a new one. I know. I'm trying a new one every week. Guys Guru Kalamari already be on and very special guest the host of core Veronica Belman. Hello. Hello. Welcome. Veronica for people who for some reason haven't started washing core. Who the hell are you? I am a Veronica course like an interactive magazine that is on the PlayStation Network. We have new episodes every month. We talk to developers. We travel all over

0:59.1

looking at new games, new stuff coming out, new releases, and we have a lot of fun. We've been doing the show since June 2008. I think it's been spent a while. We're coming up on our 32nd episode.

1:10.1

That is. It seemed like only yesterday I said core was stupid and no one should watch it. I felt bad and now I feel bad because I like core now. But in the beginning I was very upset about the money.

1:19.1

So I took a while to kind of find our stride. Yeah. And now with the PlayStation Plus stuff we're really we're doing great. That's the best part about it now is that it's roasting with PlayStation Plus. Yeah.

1:28.1

I love PlayStation. I think here's what I'm excited about in the rope report. I have a new story for you that you haven't heard about yet that will make PlayStation Plus all the more worth it for you. Really? I don't know if it's even possible. No, no, no, you'll get excited. Cool. What do you got? I was going to clarify that if Veronica's crystal clear voice wasn't the indicator. She is actually in the room. She's not just calling in.

1:47.1

Usually we have people just calling. Yeah, they don't have the time to come into our truck down here. I promise coffee. I have coffee from the future. That's all I need from the future. I love these current machines. Anybody else? What's what's machine? The pod machines. You put the pod in the top. I got one home now. It's it's we're close to back the future to when you get hydrated pizza. That's why I had to move desk. I don't know. I'm kind of a coffee snob. Oh, yeah. So it's not good. No, it's actually not that bad. I make like a really good coffee from Veronica. You live in San Francisco long enough.

2:17.1

You start doing things about a lot of stuff. Coffee is one of them. Iron sides across the street in this dynamite. Like they have the four barrel coffee. Oh, why did I go there? I don't know. You're a monster. If you wanted to go to the grocery. I've also heard that not to give too many endorsements to commercial venues, but fills. Is that the place that everybody loves to you? Are you a fills fan? You know, I'm not a fills fan. Oh, okay. I've been there once or twice. It's okay. I'm blue bottle. I'm four barrel ritual roasters. Pretty much my three. What's wrong with that? I think it's amazing. I just don't know anything that you said.

2:47.1

I love just the way you get into a pod at San Francisco, where you don't know anything outside of your own. Me and Christine went up for a ramen last night in the place we like to go to was crowded. And they're like, well, we'll try a new one and we walked up. We're like out of our elements. Go into this new ramen shop. Oh, God. What's happening? I'm a folder's guy. Yeah. Yeah. You have your man a simple taste. You want your trophies? You want your judge Judy and you want your dominoes. My dominoes have a more pulpit. Oh, you went along with it. This is the first guest that ever sang with me. Oh, she's going for it. Any opportunity to sing?

3:17.1

Let's start the show with what is and forever will be the Roper report. I want to let people in on a little secret too. I feel like I'm always going to choke on the stuff. I want I used to do the podcast. You know, the official IG and upcoming list. Yeah, I used to read it off the sheet every day. So now what I find myself doing on shows is I write down the nickname.

3:47.1

I'm going to give Ryan. Okay. Then I also write down guides guru as if I'd forget that. And then I also have to write out what is and forever will be because we've seen we stumble on that. Wow. When you say stumble though, it's very much. It's my new. Well, there's a conversational podcast. We're allowed to. You're allowed to stumble. I like when it's what once was what is right now. When I put them all out. All right. Biggest news of the week, which is going to be topic of the week. So don't get too crazy. Okay. Photos of the PSP to have leaked supposedly. Yes. Maybe.

4:17.1

Jim just confirmed they are real. Yeah, Jim. So Jim. It's in the story. But Jim talked to an anonymous developer. Who said that the pictures are real. All right. We have them on site. Jim really says there. And Colin writes here. Be excited. Trophies. Maybe. I will cry my eyes out. Oh, my God. What a blunder that would hold it for the top of the week though. We'll ask to talk about that. Okay. I'm excited.

4:38.1

Grant three is my five is coming next week. Really? It is November 24th is the date you can obtain this rare unicorn. Yeah, Colin. Yeah, Colin doesn't know. There's no more funny thing. Okay. I'm sorry. Really? Well, now you had me up. I was all excited. That's all I got. Okay. The principal is a H. Prince of Persia HD collection is coming to North America on the PSN. Each game will cost 15 bucks. And the first one. Sands of time is already up. Yep. Are you excited? Yeah. So I'm not a huge Prince of Persia fan. What's your deal? Why not? If Sands of Time is an amazing game.

5:08.1

Yeah, that would be cool. I'll buy them. Christmas Christmas vacation is long. Yeah. So they'll be plenty of things to play. I've never played it. Oh, my God. I mean, I haven't played so much. I can't really give you too much crap. Okay. You need to play like Sands of Time. I always. I'm more assassins creed than Prince of Persia. But did you like? I mean, when Prince of Persia and PS2 came out, what do you think? Yeah, I mean, it's a great game. I quit. I quit piano lessons to play. Really? Your mother was so disappointed. No, I was in college already. She was because she'd bought me a keyboard. It was kind of like I was like all excited to do this. And I was

5:38.1

you know, had this reason stuff. And then it was like, it was just because there was a low end game. This is back when there wasn't awesome games every month as there are now. And there was a well. And I started up piano lessons. And then Prince of Persia came out and I was like, well, if this. I didn't even call the cancel. I just stopped going in. Really? Yeah. Wow. I was college. I was a very kid. What do I do? I'm reliable. Yeah. No, that's true. Everyone would say that. But now he's very responsible in charge of our PlayStation channel. Yeah. Look at me. Alan writes in. He says, is there any chance there'll be a review or some impressions of Prince of Persia? Alan, they're most indeed will.

6:08.1

We're trying to move towards this global review scale. And they are putting up the UK soon. I think today actually the review of the disk version of the three games together. So you can look for there. And it'll be comparable. I'm not too worried about it. I'm trying to download it right now, but my internet slow at home. And. Oh, that works down to like 12%. True. True. Yeah. It's down for maintenance. Oh, yeah. Five. Oh, the humanity. I know. What is the good of working from home? Yeah. You still are. You just can't succumb. That's the problem. No. At least it's not the dark.

6:38.1

The dark day with the 800 air. So yeah, look for that review today. And if I ever download it, I'll talk about it too. Homefront has a release date. Lots of exclamation points here, Colin. Oh, yeah. Homefront has a release date. The game will come out on March 8th in the US. March 10th in Australia and March 11th in the UK. I'm intrigued by this game. That's like my most anticipated. Really? What are you looking forward to? I just like like kind of future war things with like post-apocalyptic United States stuff. That's why I was like obsessed with Jericho. Oh, yeah. I'm like all on the history.

7:08.1

So I'm excited about it. Like I think it's kind of cool. Like it's a nice idea about a resurgent North Korea attacking the United States after like taking over part of Asian stuff. So I think that's kind of cool. Have you seen it in motion? Has anybody seen the motion? I haven't either. I think Michael Thompson is the one who's he's one of our contributing editors in New York. He's the one who's writing everything about it. So we can talk to him about it. But I don't think we've seen anything from the game yet. That's what concerns me. I like the idea, the alternate history, all that I'm really down with. But it reminds me a lot of the one get us reviewed. The it was a first person shooting full of liberty. Yeah, there it is.

7:38.1

So yeah, I was really excited about that game too. It started out cool too. But yeah, it's going to be pretty inflammatory. Yeah, like a lot of really like situation. It kind of reminds me of heavy rain in a way because it puts you into these uncomfortable situations where you kind of have to, you know, this is war. This is how things are going to be. And you just have to kind of play through that. Yeah, I think that's exciting. It does seem like it's it's kind of fairly realistic, right? Like it's a realistic take on what could potentially happen. Yeah, I think I think that they were what they were saying was that what they're trying to do.

8:08.1

The angle they're trying to take is, you know, like even in games, I really love like resistance. Like you're fighting in huge warehouses and, you know, like big weapon plants and stuff. But in in home front, you're fighting in like villages and you'll be fighting in like supermarkets and people's houses. Yeah, it's like, that's like really cool. Like, you know, because you've already been pushed like inward. Everyone's been like the coast is already controlled by North Korea. So like you, everyone's like pushed inward. And so you're like neighborhoods basically and you're fighting there. And I think that's pretty cool. Yeah, that'll be uncomfortable, but cool. And they said they're already they're already planning a sequel of the game sells well. So, okay. So there's no more story to be told. That's all I want to know. I just want to I want to be good enough.

8:38.1

It'll be huge disappointment if it's not developed. Hey, us. They're the guys that did fuels of war, whatever fuel war front line, front line fuel. Yeah, they're the guys that did that. This is only their second game. Okay. How's the last one fuel? I didn't play. So I don't know. You don't even know what it's court. No, got a medicryter rating on you games that sell. You don't have all of that memorized. Come on, guys, go through. Sorry. I'm not very. All right. Next up on the sheet.

9:08.1

Bioware is going to reveal their next project during spikes VGA 2010 awards. Bronco's excited. I love Bioware so much. Everyone does. They're so great.
