...and I want to begin today. Greetings from Cyberdelic Space. This is Lorenzo, and I'm your host here in the Psychedelic Salon.

And I want to begin today by letting you know that you have most likely heard today's rap by Terrence McKenna before.

Although I've titled today's podcast, McKenna's Psychedelic Rhapsody,

this is actually Terrence McKenna's live talk from a rave that was documented in Ken Adams' brilliant documentary, Alien Dream Time.

Now, if you've been with me here in the salon for a while, you'll remember Ken from his 2012 and 2013 Palanque Norte lectures.

And in his 2013 lecture, Ken talked about his then-recent documentary

titled Imaginatrix, the Terence McKenna Experience. And I'll put a link to it in today's

program notes, which you can find at psychedelic salon.com. And if you haven't seen that film,

well, you really should make a point of doing so.

Not only is it a deep look into the life and times of Terrence McKenna, the film also presents

itself in some really unique ways that I think will inspire young video enthusiasts to maybe reach

for some new heights.

And you should also know that Ken isn't just another McKenna fan.

He was Terrence's neighbor for many years and probably knew him as well as anyone outside of his family.

So Ken's insights are certainly worth paying attention to. Now I come to Alien Dream Time. As I said,

the DVD is available on Amazon and I encourage you to get a copy

because, well, the audio portion alone isn't even half of the experience. The graphics are

simply awesome. In fact, it is the perfect bedtime video experience, I think, along with a little

toke, of course. Many of my friends also have copies of this video, and, well, it's been played at quite a few of our parties.

But, to be honest, I've usually been a little ripped when I watched it.
