This is Lorenzo and I'm your host here in the psychedelic salon.

As you no doubt know, the word psychedelic means mind manifesting.

Of course, there are differing definitions of mind, and then what does it mean to manifest mind?

So, just for the record, here's how I see it, at least at this moment,

as I always allow myself the privilege of changing my so-called mind whenever I choose.

So to me, when I think of the psychedelic salon,

what I see is a place where the deep mind of our species is made visible

through the words and actions of one or more humans. We have certainly had our share of Terrence McKenna's mind made manifest here.

And by the way, I still have more of his tapes yet to digitize and play for you in the coming months. Now, if you've been with us here in the way, I still have more of his tapes yet to digitize and play for you in the coming months.

Now, if you've been with us here in the salon for a while, you've heard McKenna and others say that we have now begun a psychedelic renaissance.

Now, the definition of a renaissance, with a capital R, is the activity, spirit, or time of the great revival of

art, literature, and learning in Europe, beginning in the 14th century and extending to the 17th century,

marking the transition from medieval to the modern world.

So are we actually at the beginning of a new renaissance, a psychedelic one?

Well, just take a look at some of the people that we've featured here in the salon

over the past 12 months.
