I remember you and me used to spend the world got there a day in bed

All right, let's get going here guys Saturday June 17th, 2023 about 11 o' 9 a.m. B. K. Of course, you're coming out you guys in San Diego, California, please follow me on Twitter for breaking this throughout the week at Bravo Kilo actual and also be sure to DM me on Instagram if you got any good stories or

0:58.7

good dirt at B. K. Actual and yeah, let's go and get into it quickly. I'm back from Seattle. Some of you guys saw me who do follow me on those social media platforms saw that I took a quick trip up there, enjoyed it as always. I got to tell you the I ended up staying in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. You guys all remember the famous chop from the meltdown the race meltdown of 2020 was the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone, the Chaz and there was what is called the chop because what was it?

1:28.7

Capitol Hill, I don't remember what it stood for, but it was like no is the chop the Chaz that was where they like basically wanted their own neighborhood of no police and the stupid leftist city council allowed it to happen in a bunch of people got murdered there shockingly.

1:42.4

And it was just it was cool neighborhood, you know, for me, like I'm laid back I can fit in anywhere, but it was it was striking the amount of LGBT people that were around there, especially the tea.

1:53.7

Like I'm talking like packs rolling down the street, I went into a joke on Twitter, I went into a local coffee shop there and all three barista's mind the counter were trans women, so biological males, and you know, I'm coming in there, like looking all just jacked right and every other dude in there is like something of 75 pound gay Asian guy or whatever I walk in there and all like eyeball me like okay, who's this guy and what hate crime is he going to commit in our coffee.

2:24.7

But I was like no, I was just like a cup of coffee, please, and then they were like you could see the relief and it was just it was striking to me though, interesting neighborhood, I always enjoy Seattle, so there's my little travel story, let's get going talk about Canada, we're going to open up with Canada again, I know as first the fires are being freaked out about this is something a little bit more serious though, at least 15 people died in a highway accident in Canada.

2:49.9

Yeah, this is along the trans Canada highway, and it happened near Carberry Manitoba, if you're Canadian, this on Thursday afternoon, and this is after a bus, it was carrying 25 mostly older people collided with a semi truck, and they said this was like a horrific scene, like just mass casualty, as you can imagine, it's still they're still doing investigation, so this happened like I said Thursday afternoon, I did an update, I couldn't see anything.

3:19.9

Really quickly, but they just said it was brutal, the bus had been traveling from Dauphine, another town two hours north of the accident site, and apparently the southbound bus cleared the westbound bay lanes at an intersection, it was struck by a semi trailer, the semi truck, which was driving east, so both drivers were being treated for injuries, so miraculously they both were not killed, and

3:49.9

they're going to have to consider, you know, is this a criminal act, I'm looking at overall map view, basically, if you're in like the middle of North Dakota, and go do north across the border, that's where the site of the crash was, and it looks like it was about, oh, just eyeballing in here, but a little over 100 miles from the US border, all available local officers from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police were deployed to the area, they had four emergency aircrafts, including two helicopters,

4:19.9

and they had 14 critical care crew members from stars, which is an air ambulance nonprofit also responded, and this was all hands on deck, even a Prime Minister Justin Blackface Trudeau weighed in, calling the crash incredibly tragic, and, you know, this is, and this brought back a lot of memories, and I remember this other case very well, yes, I've been around for a while, and I was doing the podcast when

4:48.9

five years ago in Saskatchewan, remember that bus that was carrying all those young hockey players from the junior hockey team called the Humboldt Broncos, they were on a bus, and they were struck by a truck, and in that case, 16 people died, and it was a lot of like young guys, 13 others were injured, so

5:09.4

a lot of Canadians remembering that, also a horrific accident there, so yeah, condolences to Canada, they've been having a rough go up there a little bit, so thoughts are with my Canadian friends, let's keep going now, and go to Syria,

5:23.4

Missed you a little mysterious here, but you guys probably saw earlier in a week that there was a helicopter incident that injured 22 soldiers, and we know a little bit more about that, this is US soldiers, I should point out,

5:37.4

we know a little bit more about that, first of all, the soldiers were Delta Force operators, otherwise known as CAG or whatever the Army Special Mission Unit, whatever you want to call them, they basically the cream of the crop are our top guys were injured in this, and the Pentagon sent comm central command, they're the people who oversee operations in the Middle East and South Asia,

6:01.4

they only gave a brief statement on Monday night, that a quote helicopter mishap and quote in Northeastern Syria had left nearly two dozen service members with injuries, now that statement also said 10 of the soldiers had been evacuated to hospitals outside the region, so it wasn't just a little injury,

6:22.4

and some anonymous military officials said on Tuesday that an MH-47 Chinook helicopter carrying the commandos had gone down in apparently good weather, and without taking hostile fire, a Pentagon spokesman said later on Tuesday that the Chinook quote had a problem with one rotor that caused a hard landing during takeoff and quote, so it just went up and came right back down,

6:52.4

but they did say the 10 most seriously injured soldiers were flown to an American medical hospital in Germany, but none of their injuries were life threatening, God I hate helicopters you guys, I said it before I'll say it again, if I never get on another helicopter for the rest of my life, that would be just fine with me, and hey, if you're wondering, hey, we're in Syria, yes, more than 900 US troops and several hundred contractors are based in Syria,

7:20.4

the troops work with big air quotes here with Kurdish fighters to present prevent a resurgence of the Islamic state, and of course ISIS was defeated in the region more or less around 2019, and that was after five years of basically rampaging across Iraq and Syria, so that's really all we know about that so far as well, I got a few other US military stories later,

7:45.4

all right, let us go to the African continent, I got a few, a few different countries in Africa, and I'll just bang them all out here, first of all, did you see this gnarly boat accident in Nigeria, more than 100 people died, this is nuts, including many who were turning from a wedding ceremony, and this was a river boat that was transporting them and it sank in the early hours of Monday in Nigeria,

8:14.4

it was sailing on the Niger River, in the western state of Quara, in case you didn't know, the Niger River is enormous, it's 2,600 miles long, and it's the main river in West Africa, but yes, they said luckily, I mean they were able to at least rescue over 100 people, the search was ongoing, the boat capsized in complete darkness, and it wasn't until hours afterwards that the authorities were eating,

8:44.4

they were even aware that a boat went down, so as of Tuesday evening, again 103 confirmed dead, and I'm sure that has risen since, again guys, I don't like do an update on every story because I would like double my time prepping for the podcast so, but river boat accidents are a recurring issue in Nigeria, you know, you can imagine why, a bunch of different factors, they don't have a lot of regulation, first of all, and because of that, there's a lot of overloading,
