Coming at you guys from Sandy with California, and it is about 12 p.m. Just a couple of quick announcements guys. You probably saw my Instagram that the good people at VET TV had been for a nice little fun sit down Q&A.

That should be popping up on their YouTube channel, so check that out. And also I got to give a shout out. I was at MCRD Marine Corps Recruit Depot the other day, and a bunch of Coast Guard guys training ran by, and all I hear out of them is like, BK!

Okay, guys, that's all I got for announcements. Let's get right into it. Let's start with one of the finest places in the world. That's right. Let's go to Somalia.

And breaking this morning, militants were battling security forces in a busy hotel in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia, after storming the property of the day before an attack that has left at least 11 people dead. I've seen 12 people dead as of this recording the militants were still going at it with the government forces. So this is kind of undergoing on as the country's undergoing a political transition.

And they also have a severe drought to add insult to injury. Now the militant group Al Shabab has claimed responsibility.

And the militants apparently stormed the property. And this is a nice spot. This is the Hyatt, and it's fairly upscale. And this is late on Friday evening.

And now, Saturday afternoon over there right now, gunfire can still be heard inside the building. It is frequented by local politicians and

elders, important people in the community, what not. It's in a busy commercial area about a mile from the main airport.

You can go on social media, if you like, and see lots of plumes of smoke. You can hear the gunfire and everything else. Now the director of the city's free ambulance service, the only free ambulance service said that his team had removed five bodies and taken 10 wounded people to hospitals.

So one lawmaker, Somali lawmaker named Mohammed Ibrahim Moalimu, said in a Facebook post that 11 members of his clan had been killed.

So the internal security challenges have been mounting in Somalia. They are facing a record fourth consecutive failed rainy season. They too are suffering rising fuel and food prices.

And at least 7 million people out of a population of about 16 million have been affected by the drought as of July, almost a million of them have been displaced from their homes.

Of course, you guys all know if you've been listening, you know all about Al Shabab. They've been fucking going at it in Somalia for many years. Their desire is to establish an Islamic state across

basically all of Somalia and the rest of the Horn of Africa.

And they've carried out a tax there for a long time. Now they've been growing richer and stronger over the past couple of years, despite US involvement. They collect taxes from businesses.
