a minute by minute. So I do have like a live updates page where I've been kind of tracking

everything. And the latest news out of Afghanistan is that their basically commercial hub,

Mazar Isharif, has fallen to the insurgents. And that is the last major city in Northern

Afghanistan. And this is basically the complete loss of Afghanistan's north to the Taliban.

Do appear on the verge of a full military takeover. And this was one of the last three cities

that had remained under government control. And it comes just one day after two key cities

and southern and western Afghanistan were also lost to the Taliban. So the Taliban got the

last northern city barely an hour after breaking through the front lines at the city's edge

according to New York Times. Soon after, government security forces and militias fled.

And I'll have much more to say about that later. You know, I'm just going to keep going,

I have a lot of thoughts on this, but I'm going to try to get through the updates first without

losing my mind over here. A pro government militia commander was quoted as saying, quote,

government forces and popular uprisings all left the city. There was no resistance, end quote.

So now if you look at the map, the Taliban now basically control the southern, western,

and northern regions of the country, pretty much encircling the capital of Kabul, of course,
