right into it with our live updates on our coronavirus cases and worldwide we now have 4,686,592 coronavirus cases confirmed with a global total of 310,907 deaths.

Now in the United States the USA total now is almost 1.5 million

confirmed cases and our total death count is 89,124 U.S. citizens.

So let's go to the New York Times Update page right here and get started and see kind of where we're at.

As you know know the states are

starting to reopen albeit a little slowly and this is like two-thirds of the

states are reopening and they're lifting or relaxing restrictions on businesses and public life.

Just going through a few of them in Maryland, new regulations allow retail stores to open at 50% capacity and churches and

houses of worship were pressed to have their capacity. Salons and barber shops can

only take appointments. In Oregon, retail stores can reopen statewide so long as they are following distancing guidelines.

31 of Oregon's 36 counties are approved for other limited

reopening. Restaurants and bars can provide dine and service until 10 p.m.

Now obviously a lot of governors are pushing to do this kind of thing because more than 36 million

people have filed unemployment claims in the past two months and the Commerce Department

reported that retail sales fell a record 16.4% in April alone.

So now the number of new coronavirus cases confirmed in the United States has

steadily declined in recent days New York the epicenter of the American outbreak
