0:15.0	The EUA, European University Association in Brussels, is organizing a conference about it on June 18th and 19th in Munich, and we are talking to EUA head of unit Thomas Juergensen.
0:28.6	Hello, Mr. Juergensen. You are organizing this year's meeting of the EUA Council for Doctoral Education.
0:35.6	The Bologna Conference in Yerevan has just taken place.

1:23.6	You have published this paper, the shape of things to come, right? Yeah, the conference is part of the development of this paper, where we say, well, now we take stock of what happened in the last 15 years, 10, 15 years, with the Southsburg recommendations, the establishment of doctoral schools, the growth in doctoral education.
1:46.0	So what we've seen is the doctoral education has gone from being the semi-private thing
1:54.0	that happened between a supervisor and a supervisor and a supervisor.
1:58.0	And now it's much more strategic embedded part of university activities.
2:02.6	What does that actually mean for doctoral education?
2:06.6	Well, if doctoral education is an embedded part of universities, then those challenges are also challenges to doctoral education.
2:14.6	The doctoral title is the most, let's say, unorganized,
2:18.8	self-organized part of study or postgraduate study is becoming something new. The call of,
