Summary

On today’s show, Pat, Coach Pagano, AJ Hawk, and the boys chat about Bill Belichick being introduced as the Head Coach of the North Carolina Football team and Michael Lombardi coming down on board as the General Manager, as well as the news that Rich Rodriguez has accepted the job offer from West Virginia to become their Head Coach again as Pat will be on site in West Virginia tomorrow in the Coliseum for his introductory press conference. They also preview tonight’s Thursday Night Football game between the Rams and 49ers and make their picks against the spread in a crucial divisional matchup. Joining the progrum is 2x Super Bowl Champion and Head Coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Mike Tomlin to chat about his experience with Hard Knocks so far and why he was apprehensive initially, his decision to make the move to Russell Wilson and why he chose to do so and why the decision was easier than a lot of people in the media made it out to be, his relationship with Cam Heyward, playing 3 games in 10 days, and his thoughts on Bill Belichick taking the Head Coaching job at North Carolina. Next, the new General Manager of the North Carolina Football team, 3x Super Bowl Champion, and friend of the progrum, Michael Lombardi joins the show to chat about he and Bill Belichick’s goals at North Carolina, why he’s so excited for this opportunity, how they’re going to turn North Carolina into a powerhouse, and what needs to be addressed here first. Later, ESPN legend, and co-host of Marty & McGee, Marty Smith joins the show live from Chapel Hill and the Bill Belichick press conference to chat about how big of a deal this is locally in North Carolina, what questions he’d like to see answered by Bill in relation to the job, and how big of a paradigm shift this move is.
