I'd like to start today's show just as I started our morning show today.

And that is with an audio clip from the files from the archive.

Now, full disclosure, it was sent to me by a friend of mine last night.

And he said, hey, this was 26 years ago tomorrow, which would be today now because it was sent last night.

And it was 36 years. He got his year off.

And it wasn't July 12, which is today. It was June 12.

But hell, by the time I figured all that out, I had listened to the clip a couple of times.

And it took me back to the year 1987.

And it took me back to the promise of America.

Now, Democrats in the media will tell you that the 80s were a terrible time, a time of greed, Gordon Gecko, a time where people didn't care about their neighbors.

And they will quote something that the Democrats love to say, oh, yeah.

So everybody got rich during the 80s. Well, I didn't.

Democrats love to say that any time that's supposed to be a good economic time, the Trump administration,

that they still know people who stayed poor. Yeah.

Some of whom are stupid. Some of whom are in prison. Some of whom are on welfare.

Guess what? If you're on welfare, you don't get richer when the economy booms.

That's crazy, isn't it?
