An episode or two ago I ventured into one of my unpopular opinions which is that the sons of God in

Genesis 6 are our Celestial beings who intermarry with human women. That's one unpopular opinion.

Here's another one.

It's a completely different subject,

but it's tied together by the common theme

of not many people think that.

So I'll just begin with the confession.

I believe that the Apostle Paul wrote the epistle

to the Hebrews. Now if you've listened to sermon tapes and that

sort of thing when I'm quoting Hebrews I'll often say as the author of Hebrew says, or, you know, some circumlocution like that.

And it's because my view on this is not a generally accepted view, not a popular view, and it's not that I'm afraid

of being associated with the, I just don't want to change the subject, I don't want to go down a rabbit hole or in some cases

down a wormhole. If I'm just simply making a point in passing, I don't want to bring in the whole Pauline authorship of Hebrews.

But let me spend just a few minutes talking about it, I do think that Paul wrote Hebrews.

The basic, the summary of the argument against the Pauline author of, Pauline authorship of Hebrews is this.

The letter just doesn't sound like him.

So if you read Romans and Galatians and Ephesians and you're you know you're steeped in the Pauline cadences and then you come to Hebrews

it's not that it's not that there's any disagreement between Hebrews and what we see elsewhere in Paul,

but there certainly is a stylistic difference.

The Greek of the epistle to the Hebrews is eloquent stylized Greek.
