1:00.0	So we have to understand that the Enlightenment project, the rise of modernity in the aftermath of the reformation and the modernization of the west and the
1:16.3	industrialization of the west. Parts of it, well there's so many terms to
1:21.0	define. Modernity is not having access to hot and cold running water.
1:28.0	Modernity is not having penicillin available or a polio vaccine.
1:35.6	That's not modernity.
1:36.6	Modernity is an outlook.
1:38.2	Modernity is a worldview.
1:40.7	And in that worldview, there is no place for God.
1:45.0	So in secular democracy, in liberal democracies,
1:51.0	there's no more place for the God of the Bible than there was under communism.
1:57.4	And in this, I'll probably review this book in a the uncanny parallels between liberal democracy and communism.
