You probably already know this, but I totally want to tell you again. I wrote a book. It's called the Lightning Fast Field Guide to the Bible. It is for you. It's like somebody knows you and thought about what you would like and what would be helpful, and then spent a year writing a book for you. That's not what it's like. That's exactly what it is because that's what I did. I think it's pretty good. I think you're going to like it. There's an affiliate link down below if you want to go check it out.

I used to go and teach classes in Zambia, which is in sort of central Africa, south central Africa, I guess. There's a college there that was just getting started when I used to teach there,

0:47.8

and I would fly over a couple times of year. It was kind of like a mission trip sort of deal,

0:52.7

kind of. But then I would go and I would be a

0:55.8

professor at this college, and I would teach world history, history of thought, things like that.

And it was way out in the bush and Zambia. It was just a very cool experience. I got a bunch of

1:06.5

cool stories about that, including crazy wildlife stories. That was just a wonderful time in my life

1:12.0

when I was making those trips. Another cool thing about those trips, a secondary, cool thing about

1:18.1

those trips, was that because of the nature of the travel, I always got to pick somewhere to stop

1:24.4

off on my way home as kind of a decompression reward for going and teaching

1:29.6

this super intense modular class, I would go to some cool history place on the way back that

1:34.8

otherwise I could never afford to go and see. And on one of those trips, my buddy Aaron and I went to

1:40.1

Greece. We rented a car and we went as hard as we could all day long, trying to ingest as much of

1:50.0

the country of Greece and the history of Greece as we could. And in our travels there, we got to make

1:55.3

our way to the ultra-an ancient city of Mycenae. Now, when you think of Greece, you think of Athens and Sparta, of course,

2:03.5

you know, there's a bunch of these towns that are kind of like the golden age of Greece that we

2:07.1

picture. But before that, Mycenae was this ancient town that lent its name to a whole era of Greek

2:16.3

culture. And the Mycenaeans, of course, got into it with

2:19.3

the Trojans. And that's what all the Trojan war business is about. There's epic poems about them.

2:25.6

Agamemnon was from Mycenae. Don't worry about it if you happen to not know that name. But I got to

2:31.5

Mycenae, and it's just different than anywhere I've ever visited,

2:35.4

ever still to this day. You walk up and there's just kind of one entrance to the ruins,
