objectives with kids when you're doing it?

Yeah well I'm on the floor a lot when it comes to play therapy. So play therapy really is about giving kids an

opportunity to express what's happening inside their world, their experiences

in a way that is developmentally appropriate.

So those toys really end up being words that registered play therapist interpret and get a better picture of what's going on inside

and it also helps kids feel a little emotional distancing that makes it more comfortable

for them to express what's going on inside instead

of just having to come in on the couch and Kimberly this is the worst thing ever and this is

what's going on and they're just not there so we ultimately do that by inviting them into the playroom and

given them the playroom and then guiding them through depending if we're doing

the treatment or the assessment we may use some different strategies to do that.
