I'm with my dear friend, John Eldridge, and we're talking about play.

We're going to play.

We just have been playing, and we're going to play even more this summer.

So, John, thank you for joining.

If you call what we just did play you have an expansive and generous definition of the term

well what we just did was fish for the morning yes that was play that the three-day off-road motorcycle school in which we attempted to equip ourselves not to

kill ourselves on this upcoming motorcycle adventure.

Well, first of all, talk about the upcoming motorcycle adventure.

Then we'll go back to the fact that I do think what we did was play,

but it was compelling, exhausting,

and at times dangerous as dangerous can be.

Yeah, it was.

We are in August on a 10-day adventure motorcycle trip through the back country of Colorado, six of us,

in order not only to tell a great story, but to uncover and talk about the necessity of story, the absence

of story in most people's lives, the small stories that people get caught up in, including

adventure motorcycling can be a very small

story and the need for you know a larger story that puts things in their context
