Regardless, I asked Jason basically about the financial situation with Bob and debt.

Does he have money to spend? Does he not have money to spend?

I'm a little confused. Some of the quotes recently have made me feel extra confused.

Yeah, I'll pick up where I left off. I mean, that quote about Martine Perez confused me as well, where he basically said it fit within the portfolio of what we were trying to do.

And I don't even know the name of the guy that they traded for.

Like he was an 18 year old kid in Dominican, whatever. It's fine. But I mean, you know, you didn't

trade Martine Perez because you really wanted this guy. You traded Martin Perez so you could

bring in salary. That's essentially what he said. Nothing that I've heard around the pirates

indicates to me that Ben's hands were tied behind his back with money. I mean, you know, let me say it that way. To a degree. To a degree. Yes. I know. As soon as I said that, Jim, I was like, that doesn't sound. Yeah. Yeah. We'll hear about that afterwards. I know, right? But that's why I stopped.

So anybody who's clipping that, don't clip that part of it.

You know, I don't, I don't, I think Ben has enough to put together a winning team.

I mean, Ben didn't go into this thing thinking he was going to spend exorbitantly on major league payroll.

You know, I've heard other things about Ben wanting to spend in other areas, not necessarily

major league payroll.

And I understand, you know, more like processes and whatever and stuff behind the scenes.

I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

But to me, you also have to spend on major league payroll.

That doesn't mean you do like that in lieu of it.

I get the deal. Like in, you know, meaning like the Perez deal and what they did at the deadline,

like that kind of does make sense to me, I guess. Like it's not really worth paying Perez what you
