In what seemed like a 12-game losing streak, it was actually only two.

But with that, the Sixers snapped their two-game losing streak against the Charlotte Hornets

at home on a Saturday night, 109-98, picking up their 37th victory of the season and a much-needed

one to stay pace with everyone else surrounding them in that Eastern Conference race.

11-point victory over the terrible Charlotte Hornets, Brianna Producing. All of you in the chat

will get to you along the way. Derek, as we sat there and watched this one, both at the arena

and back here at the office, certainly one that they had to get done because as we were talking,

we were saying they better not lose to this team. They tried to, but the Sixers pull away. Yeah, look, they had

control of this one for most of the first half. Got a really strong performance from Kelly

Ubre, and I'm sure we'll talk quite a bit about that one. But, you know, they were in control.

Not running away with it, but five, 10 point lead throughout most of the first half. All of a sudden, you blinked in the third quarter and it was cut down to one or two. I think it was one point with a couple of shots that Charlotte had to take the lead. Charlotte did then eventually take that lead midway through the fourth quarter and you're going like, oh my what is going on here like charlotte is a team that missing a lot of key players obviously in ball specifically but they came in here had lost eight out of ten uh they are if i will give them any kind

of credit they are consistent they are the worst team in terms of net rating on the season they are the

worst team on the road they are the second worst team offensively on the season they are the second worst team on the road so they are the worst team in terms of net rating on the season. They are the worst team on the road. They are the second worst team offensively on the season. They are the second worst team on the road. So they are terrible, whether they're playing at home or on the road. That kind of consistency is about as much credit as I can give this team. They stink. And the Sixers in the start the fourth quarter looked like they were going to, at least there's a chance to blow this.

But you got huge performances from Tyrese Maxi down a stretch.

You got some stops defensively, which they weren't doing there for a good chunk of the second half.

And they pulled away.

And look, when the Sixers are playing as short-handed as they are, I'm not going to fret too much if they have periods of a game, even a game

against the Hornets where they look bad. That is going to happen. You've got to win. That's all

that matters. You are what now I think four or five. I think you're five up on Chicago and for that
