Summary

(00:00-25:59) – Query & Company opens on a Hump Day Wednesday with Jake Query playing what Shane Steichen had to say today at his press conference on the addition of Philip Rivers and how soon he could be ready to play for the Indianapolis Colts. Jake asks Eddie for how he reacted seeing Rivers being signed by the Colts and then highlights some theories he has about the situation.

(25:59-36:12) – As Jake awaits a call from Ethan Thompson, he and Eddie discuss the productive minutes he has given the Indiana Pacers the last two games. They also highlight the number of different guys they have tried out this season that haven’t been able to stick.

(36:12-44:09) – The first hour of the show concludes with Jake Query asking producer Eddie more about the Big Cranium Association get together in Laporte yesterday. Jake also shares his thoughts on why he feels like high school and college basketball interest is decreasing.

(44:09-1:11:48) – Former Warren Central High School and Indianapolis Colts quarterback, Jeff George, joins the show to share his concerns about Philip Rivers trying to play football again after not playing in the last five years. Jeff also reveals that he still believes Anthony Richardson has the ability to be a franchise quarterback. Jake also asks Jeff about his initiative, Christmas QB with Jeff George.

(1:11:48-1:27:24) – Indiana Pacers guard Ethan Thompson joins Query & Company to take us through his journey from bouncing around in the G League to playing meaningful minutes the last two games. He shares how he felt finding out he was going to play his first meaningful minutes in Chicago by being pulled off the floor while getting some extra work in after shootaround and how he found out he was going to start against the Sacramento Kings.

(1:27:24-1:32:02) – The second hour of the show concludes quickly with Jake Query noting how Notre Dame and the Indianapolis Colts are in the same boat.

(1:32:02-1:58:02) – The final hour of Query & Company starts with Jake Query playing two more highlights from Philip Rivers press conference from earlier in the day. Mike Niziolek from the Bloomington Herald Times to discuss the historic performance from Lamar Wilkerson, reveals how Darian DeVries acted after losses to Minnesota and Louisville, and comments on the Stephan Daly injury that he suffered after the Big Ten Championship game.

(1:58:02-2:14:48) – Joel Erickson from the IndyStar joins the show to share what he has learned in the last 24-48 hours about why the Colts signed Philip Rivers and if there is a legitimate chance he starts on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks. Joel also notes that Charvarius Ward Sr. will miss the rest of the regular season after being placed on injured reserve because he’s concerned about what his future looks like in the NFL considering what he said following the last concussion he suffered.

(2:14:48-2:19:22) – Today’s show closes out with JMV joining Jake in studio to discuss today being the last day that we will be broadcasting from the studio off of Monument Circle.

Guy with a bigger head than you? Yes. So you got the email from the Big Head Association about the tryouts for the 8 and 5'8s head model is what they were calling it, right? That can be dicey. And then you went up there and how many photos did they take of your cranium? Well, they had to measure the cranium first. Oh. So they have to measure everyone who was there. Okay. And then you have to make a certain quota. I can't remember what the number was, but I didn't make the cut. So I even, I took the entire date off, went up to LaPort, Indiana for no reason.
