This week, Jay is joined by guest co-host Ken Katkin, a professor of law at Northern Kentucky University, who takes the place of Mike on the left. (But while Mike was off this week, he still couldn't resist inserting a few remarks at the very beginning of the show.) Jay and Ken start off with an in-depth policy discussion of the American Health Care Act, the Republican legislation to repeal and replace Obamacare. They drill down into the fundamentals of how health insurance works - or doesn't work - with Jay expressing far more confidence in a 'free market' solution than Ken. Next, they look at the Trump administration's 'new and improved' travel ban. While both Jay and Ken agree that courts should grant the executive a good amount of deference in this area, Ken feels that there's no rational basis for the ban, which he believes is a clear attempt to 'reverse engineer' an unconstitutional Muslim ban. Jay, though not entirely unsympathetic to these concerns, isn't exactly convinced. Finally, they consider the latest release from Wikileaks - a trove of documents concerning CIA hacking techniques. Both Jay and Ken conclude that Wikileaks is more hero than villain. The discussion turns to ties between Russia and the Trump campaign, with Ken arguing that the amount of evidence of involvement is overwhelming. 0:30.1	As politics guys listeners know, every Sunday, we have a liberal and a conservative who discuss the top stories of the last week.
0:38.4	Now, most of the time, I'm that liberal, but this week I took the week off and I am being
0:45.4	ably replaced by my colleague at Northern Kentucky University, a professor of law, Ken Katkin,
0:51.6	who graciously agreed to step in, fill in for me. Now, there were a few
0:57.0	little technical difficulties at the very beginning of the podcast, and so you'll join the show
1:03.7	sort of in progress when Jay talks about the first story of the day, the main story of the week,
1:09.5	really, which is the Republican repeal and
1:12.5	replacement bill for the Affordable Care Act, and he asks Ken what he thought about it.
1:17.8	Before we get to Ken's response, I wanted to mention a few things about the Republican bill,
1:23.0	because while I believe that Ken and Jay do a great job really getting into the weeds of the policy on it,
1:29.9	there are one or two things about the politics that I wanted to mention.
1:33.5	The first thing is that, of course, this is just a bill at this point.
1:37.8	It's in very early stages, and it's, I think, highly unlikely that the final legislation is going to look substantially like this.
1:47.3	I expect there are going to be a number of changes.
1:49.4	There are a number of conservatives who have big problems with this bill.
1:53.6	They're calling it Obamacare light.
1:56.0	And so it doesn't go far enough for them in replacing it.
1:59.1	And, of course, liberals don't like the idea of taking away
2:03.2	Obamacare at all. And so this is going to present a real problem for Congress, maybe not so much
