Our top story this week is early last week, and where in response to the terror attack in Paris,

26 governors from across the U.S. announced that they would not be accepting Syrian refugees.

While the states don't actually have the legal authority to reject refugees,

the House of Representatives is hoping to

essentially stop what's been a trickle, really, of Syrian refugees that have been coming

into the U.S. since the beginning of that Civil War there in 2011.

And so to that end, on Thursday, the House overwhelmingly approved a measure to drastically

tighten the current screening process. And this was a pretty strong vote of

289 to 137 and 47 Democrats joined all but two Republicans in supporting it. And the measure would
