It's a special edition of BFTPM, and usually we've been doing these in the month of January,

because someone has been fired.

This one is about the hiring of a coach by the Baltimore Ravens.

First time in 18 years, they've made a hire. John Harbaugh, gone. Jesse Minter, the former

Chargers defensive coordinator, is in. And even though they've moved on from John Harbaugh,

the Harbaugh connections are still lingering in Baltimore.

Minter had been with the Ravens for four years from 2017 through 2020. In his last year with the

team, he was defensive backs coach. That's the job that John Harbaugh had in Philly before he was

hired by the Ravens in 2008. And then Jesse Minter, after a year at Vanderbilt,

spent two years with Jim Harbaugh in Michigan as defensive coordinator

before joining Jim with the Chargers,

where he spent two years as defensive coordinator.

And now he's taking over the show in Baltimore.

It's hard to understand why they're clinging to the Harbaugh concept, other than the fact

that it's proven to work.

And it's kind of an acknowledgement by the Ravens that generally speaking, they like the approach,

they like the mindset, they like the outcome, 33 the mindset they like the outcome 33 and 18 the

last three years now they'd like to get farther in the postseason but after 18 years with the same

coach as steve bishadhi the owner of the team said last week it it was time but it's not time

to completely abandon the process that they have used

to get to where they currently are. And when you consider that the rest of the structure is there,

it actually kind of makes sense to bring in someone who's been there, someone they've been around,
