We're creeping closer and closer to the return of football.

The slow time has not been slow.

And one of the big reasons, the slow time has not been slow, the National Football League,

Players Association. Now, those of you who watched PFT Live the Friday of Memorial Day weekend, Michael Hawley and I were discussing something. And I remembered the collusion grievance

ruling that had been successfully hidden by the NFL and the NFL Players Association.

And I became determined at that point that I was going to smoke that thing out.

And ultimately, collaboration with Pablo Torre, he's the one that found the document.

He's the one that published the document.

We worked together.

We pushed each other, challenged each other,

and we found out things they don't want us to know. That's the only time actual journalism

happens in sports media when you find out things that they don't want you to know.

So with a follow-up on Thursday that found another grievance that had been hidden after the ruling was issued in February.

And other things regarding Lloyd Howell's conflict of interest, the laughable cartoonish effort to both run the NFL Players Association and work as a paid consultant for a private equity fund that is on the short

list of funds that it's ridiculous.

Anyway, the storm clouds got to the point where Lloyd Howell resigned last night as the NFLPA

executive director.
