It's Wednesday.

Finally, I know on Tuesday, I said it's Wednesday.

It is Wednesday.

It is June 25.

It is supposedly the slow time in the National Football League.

But as we learn every year, it really is a slow time for the NFL.

Plenty to talk about today and not a whole lot of time to do it.

I don't like to, contrary to popular belief, ramble on and on and on.

But once I get going, I kind of keep going, you know, you pull the court on the lawnmower,

the lawnmower wants to run. Let's begin with something that I didn't pay much attention to

yesterday because I was caught in the never-ending spin cycle of this collusion grievance ruling

that has prompted somewhere between 10 and 15 radio and

podcast appearances, which we'll talk about it more coming up, but it's encouraging to me that

people understand this is a big deal. Aaron Rogers returning to the NFL for another year,

playing for the Steelers, a big deal in isolation,

but not really because we knew it was coming. We didn't know that yesterday he'd be visiting

Pat McAfee yet again. Now, before I go any farther, let me reiterate something that I've said

in the past. I don't think he should do McAfee's show this year. I don't think it helps the Steelers and I don't

think it helps him. I remember when Ben Rothersberger used to do spots every week on 937

the fan in Pittsburgh, he would say things that would become distractions. Steelers fans are going to

hang on every single thing that Rogers says. And anything he says, Canon will be used to fashion a narrative that will distract people from the task at hand,
