I want to talk about something, an actual real positive study that just came out.

0:05.1

There's a lot of them out there.

0:06.3

We're going to start including these in the show as well.

0:08.8

This study centers around something called PFS.

0:12.5

This is forever chemicals.

0:14.4

These are chemicals that do not break down in our environment.

0:17.4

And these chemicals, unfortunately, if you happen to live next to a military base, we've found,

0:22.6

this is just recently, a study has found 99% of participants near military bases using

0:28.6

well water have PFAS in their blood and also cosmetics.

0:33.6

Women's cosmetics, the EPA looked at a lot of women's cosmetics, and they found that about 570 of those cosmetics have PFAS in them. This was a headline, how do you know if your personal care products contain these? A lot of companies use them. They're trying to be phased out. There's state level action trying to phase these out of these personal care products. But once these get in your

body, they can and do cause havoc, cancer's neurodegenerative issues. Well, a new study has just

1:00.9

shown some positive things about your gut bacteria. So it's not just about following your gut,

1:05.9

it's about actually building your gut. Here is the study human gut bacteria bioaccumulate per

1:11.4

and polyfluoralkali substances, that's PFS. And it says in the study here, we report the bioaccumulation

1:17.9

of PFS by 38 gut bacterial strains ranging in concentration from nanomolar to micrometer. That's 500 micrometers.

1:27.0

What's that mean? Well bioaccumulation. So what's happening there is they took human gut bacteria, some of the beneficial gut bacteria that's in your gut, and they put it in the mouse model, they put it in these mice. And then they gave these mice, PFS, they exposed them to this forever chemical. And what this gut bacteria did was it bioaccumulated, it sucked it out of their bodies

1:46.3

like a sponge. It said, give me that. Stop causing damage in this mouse. We'll hold on to this.

1:51.9

Not only did it hold on to this, his gut bacteria sequestered it in the bacteria into kind of like

1:58.4

a spherical form to protect even the bacteria. The bacteria that pulled it in

2:03.5

was still able to function with it in there, and then it excreted it. It got it out of the body,

2:08.7

of the mouse body. But it goes on from there. Let's go to an article here at Zepok Times. It was

2:13.5

reporting on this study, and they say this about the study when these bacteria were
