With a background in marketing and content strategy, Peter brings a unique blend of empathy and clarity to both film and business. He’s also the founder of Strategic Pete, a boutique consultancy helping mission-driven organizations grow through storytelling and scalable marketing systems.

His work has been featured in Care.com, Provider Magazine, Becker’s Healthcare, McKnight’s, and more. Peter lives next to a zoo in Kansas, sleeps in a hammock under the stars, and spends his mornings teaching his 8-year-old son to golf.

0:51.1	Peter. How are you? Wonderful. Excited to be here, Lance. Our pleasure. You know, I introduced you as a long-term
0:57.1	advocate. I want to kind of start there. What is it that brought you into our space of being a long-term care
1:04.6	advocate? Do you have a personal story or? It's a professional story that turned into a personal story. So I got recruited to work in an electronic
1:15.8	health care records company about five years ago for a private equity. And I started a podcast in
1:22.4	the healthcare space. And when I started interviewing executives and long term care,
1:27.0	I realized that it was more than just a salary.
1:30.3	I started to fall in love with it.
1:31.9	And I started to connect with the fact that my father was an amazing caregiver for his parents that had dementia, right when I moved to South America when I was 24 years old.
1:43.7	And so about five to 10 years of my grandparents' life, I wasn't there for them.
1:49.2	I was in South America, created my life, meeting my wife, having a kid.
1:53.7	And my father and a bunch of CNAs were taking care of my grandparents.
