Summary

Former Congressman Peter King joins Sid for his weekly appearance on the program to discuss rising tensions with Iran, with Sid citing reports of increased U.S. firepower in the region and speculation an attack could come soon. King argues war is a difficult decision but says Iran has historically not kept agreements, criticizes the Obama-era deal, and expresses support for decisive action by President Trump if talks fail, referencing a prior rapid strike on nuclear facilities. King outlines that any U.S. operation would likely rely on air and naval power, with prioritized targets and precision strikes, while warning about unintended civilian casualties and other risks. Finally, he addresses concerns about Iranian-linked sleeper cells, saying Hezbollah has operated in the New York metropolitan area for decades, and claims the NYPD and regional security forces are aware, monitoring the threat, and have made arrests involving Iranian officials linked to Hezbollah. whether it's Bruce Blakman running for governor or Mike La Petrie, running against Tom Swazzi or Anthony D.S. Posito, running against Laura Gillum or Mazi. It doesn't matter. He's involved. He's the godfather. He's Pete King. Come on. Peter, good morning, buddy. How are you? Shit, I'm doing fine. How are you doing? By the way, I have to say, though, first I get bumped off the show yesterday. Then I have to listen to Amelia Takis and Lawler carrying on. obviously I got you a free. I'd say, if I was in Congress, I'd be investigating the whole thing.

I figure it's got to be okay because the last time I went to the State of the Union, again, Biden two years ago, the first person I saw sitting downstairs in the chamber, you're ready for this?

How was he sitting there?

1:59.5

Ironically, he was sitting there with Marjorie Taylor Green and Matt Gates. This is some crew, huh? And I believe Lauren Bolbert, but that's the first person I saw it two years ago. So I guess the rule is, if you're a member of Congress, you get to come back. How does that work, Pete? Yeah, basically, you can go back for life. I mean, you can go back for any events on the House floor. That's State of the Union. Really, any foreign leaders come in, any of those great speeches addressed it. As a former member of Congress, you're allowed back in, yeah. Wow. So there you have it. That explains it.
