We are going to break down Pete Bravacqua, Notre Dame's athletic director.

He had a press conference today.

So we're going to give our overarching thoughts on his press conference.

We're going to go through some of the highlighted key points of what he talked about. And then in part two of today's show, we're going to talk about Notre Dame getting a commitment from 2027 cornerback, Ace Alston. Another big pickup. Notre Dame's DB recruiting keeps rolling to the literal surprise of nobody who's been following this team and what Mike Mickens has been doing,

but they pick up Ace Alston. Then we are going to wrap up today's show with another mailbag, folks. So make sure you get those questions in. But Brian, where we're going to start today is we're going to talk about Pete Bavakwa's press conference today. That was held at noon. And it was to, the thought was to address a lot of the things that had happened. Now, yesterday he went on a media media campaign. He talked on the Dan Patrick show, talked on a bar stool podcast, just about the various things that went down from this past weekend. And today, you were there in person, talked through really a lot of the same things. Yeah, it was, it was funny because we get there and they're like, you know, this is a Q&A session. And right then I was like, okay, no news is going to get broken, which you and I said yesterday,

we didn't expect news to get broken.

But it'd be nice.

You know, even if it's something like Marcus Freeman gets an extension, I think anybody who was thinking he was going to say,

hey, we're leaving the ACC is going to be sadly

disappointed. That was never going to happen. I think people that are saying it was a weak press

conference, I think are probably missing a lot of points.

And so I will talk about I was there.

That's the one thing that annoyed me.

Kept raising my hand.

Nobody would call on me.

I had some interesting questions to ask,

including a proper way to ask if Marcus Freeman is going to get signed an extension as opposed to the way that was asked. But I actually think there was a lot of meat in this press conference. If your expectations were, it was going to be some bangers, then you're going to be disappointed. But I think there's a lot of meat in this press conference. The funny thing was, very beginning, they're like, you know, this is meant to be sort of like, like it was last year, where we talked about all the NERName sports.

And I'm just like, you can't be serious. You can't think that in a press conference, Trev, you made a comment to me before started. They gave him as much time to address all this stuff, and he's going to talk about all these sports that as we get Marcus Freeman gets to talk about Stanford. Like you thought anyone, two days after everything had happened,

you thought anyone was going to ask about Notre Dame basketball or hockey or anything else?

Like, no, if you want to talk about those other sports, do it in a couple weeks.
