It's a new week and today I am catching up with somebody that I have known literally

for decades. You may have first fallen in love with Jay Rodriguez, one of the original

queer eye for the straight guy stars. And he's been very blessed to have a long career in Hollywood

since then, as well as on Broadway. It's had its ups and downs. There's been some trying times,

but he is on top right now, so busy and has great insight and just real wisdom to share with us

all and not to mention laughs and a fun time chatting together. So enjoy my interview with Jay

Rodriguez. Where are you right now? I'm in my office in Los Angeles. In LA, yeah. In LA.

You know, I've known you like almost 20 years, a long time. Yeah. And you know,

this business that we're in show business is a marathon, not a sprint. 100%. But right now,

you're sprinting. You're really busy in 2022. Knock on wood. God bless. Let's talk about it.

You are going to be in that big rom com with Billy Eichner called bros. Which by the way, I had no idea

when I auditioned for it that the entire cast would be LGBTQ+. So I sent my tape in bitter because

I was like, this is good. And I have a feeling because it's a major motion picture. They're going to be like,

but he's gay. So what if he can believably play this character really well?

So and I didn't know that that separate from my performance additionally, the entire cast was going to be

yeah, queer for those for those people that it's not clicking for them. Yeah. Even the heterosexual

characters in the movie are played by LGBTQ+. People, which is really cool. You know, actually,

I'll ask you this on a tangent and we'll get back to bros in a second. But you obviously are an

openly gay actor. And there is a lot of debate about the topic of if you're casting a role in a

major motion picture for a gay actor, is it okay for a straight actor to take that part? What are

your thoughts on that? So there's, I feel like it's so this is where I get really intertormal
