Today, what if age is just a number?

I am now, I am told, 55 years old, teetering on the brink of 56, which is odd, because I feel almost exactly like I did when I was 28.

I may actually be a little more energetic and I'm arguably in slightly better shape.

This may be partly to do with my gluttonous diet and relative laziness in my 20s,

and partly to do with the wise counsel I have received from leading scientists on this podcast,

Or maybe I just got a bit lucky with genetics, but I don't take any of this for granted,

looking at people around me, I'm confident the next decade is likely to involve a certain amount of humility.

At times I felt like I was making clear, linear progress, and other times when learning something new or starting from scratch,

I felt like I was taking a step backwards, re-assuming the humility of a beginner, sometimes learning from people younger than me.
