refereeing and discipline in the tournament I think we can also use to start to look forward

sort of life after Euro 2020. Tom says perhaps the most depressing aspect of a mainly

explosively buoyant tournament has been the elements of

feigning injury, pleading to referees, diving.

He puts forward examples such as Canaan Sterling, two of the best-sles

worth divers in the sport.

became a bit of an internet sensation.

Why don't commentators have like a chhones to condemn this live on air? Refereing has been top-notch generally,

but a few bookings or even reds for these offences would be very welcome to me.

And I wonder if we could also include guys in Tom's question a kind of assessment of the refereeing in general because my sense was that there's almost a consensus that we maybe saw a turning point in refereeing in general in this tournament.

Yeah, by turning point do you mean that it was it was slightly more lenient than perhaps with just so yeah you can't have it

always can you and I and I if I've got to choose between the leniency that we saw

and greater punishment for people kicking hell out of Petri and DeBroina

then I probably would go with the leniency just to allow the games to flow and I thought it was a major
